Top 6 Skincare Products of 2015

6. Konjac Sponges

I am first going to start off with the Konjac Sponges. There are so many different brands and I honestly don’t have a favorite brand. I just have a favorite type. This sponge is designed to help your cleanser work even better. I have no idea how it works but it definitely does. This is probably a very good start for those of you who want to invest in the Clarisonic but cant just yet. I am in no way saying that you shouldn’t invest in the Clarisonic because the Clarisonic is SOO amazing and does wonders but it is a good alternative. The charcoal sponge is my FAVORITE of all the different ones I tried. It is supposed to help with blemishes and I feel like it helps brighten my skin as well. One thing you must know about me when it comes to skincare and makeup is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE products that are made to brighten up the skin complexion. If it says the word brighten then let it be known that I have tried it or will try it. Boscia makes a great one. They even have a three pack mini trio.

5. Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment

I use this treatment as a preventative measure for any possible breakouts I may have. It contains 2% salicylic acid which seems like a lot but its possibly one of the best ways to treat acne on top of cleansing and toning your skin. Although, I do know have a severe case of acne I still use this. I mainly use this two weeks of the month. The week that I will be starting my menstrual cycle to prevents menstrual breakouts and the week after to treat any breakouts that may have formed. I have been doing this for about two years and it has really kept my breakouts under control. I actually use the generic target brand of this and it works just the same.

4. Let’s talk about the cleansing process.

I am going to name the cleansers total. Two of them are my favorites and one of them is my partner/sisters favorite. I put this as one favorite thing because it I all within the same category. This way it gives you options.

  • Origins Checks and Balances

This is a foaming cleanser and cleans the skin very well. My older sisters, Jaynita, has oily skin and she claims this is the only cleanser that makes her skin feel CLEAN. Believe me I have introduced her to many cleansers to test out but for some reason she doesn’t like how they make her skin feel. She has been using it for YEARS and I have tried to convert her to other brands but she will not budge.

  • Clinique Foaming Sonic Facial Soap

I was introduced to this cleanser a few months ago by my friends, Carina, Claudia, and Irma. We did a demonstration on my hand and the difference between my two hands was astonishing. The hand I use the Clinique soap on was brighter, more radiant, softer, and extremely smooth. I was designed to be used with their Sonic Cleansing device, which is an expensive version of the Clarisonic, but I actually use it with my Clarisonic and my konjac cleansing sponge. You could actually use this facial soap with any cleansing system/device. It allows your devices to glide across your skin without tugging and pulling your skin. Which if you tug and pull your skin you will just end up making your skin more elastic. Nobody wants that.

  • Dior DiorSnow Gentle Purifying Cleanser

Oh my gosh this cleanser!! All I can say about this cleanser is that it BRIGHTENS, its GENTLE, it DEEP CLEANS. You can see the brightness in your skin as soon as you pat your face dry. For those of you who are concerned with acne. The DiorSnow line will actually help balance your breakouts as it brightens your skin. So this line and cleanser is definitely a MUST for you or ANYONE as a matter of fact. Including MEN!!

3. Rodial Dragons Blood Eye Gel

Just like the masks I was on the hunt for a new eye cream as well. I came across this one at Naimie’s Beauty Supply store. A gal I believe her name is Rachel, assisted me when I was trying to pick out an eye cream. I was looking at an eye cream from a different line but directed me to this company. I personally have never heard of this company before but she claimed that it was her personal favorite. I had to take her word on it. Part of my job is to test out product to see if they really work so I can report back to you all. Let me tell you!! This eye gel, HANDS DOWN one of the best ever!! It contains Hyaluronic Acid which pretty much tells your skin to produce more water, which in turn helps plump your skin. This eye gel targets all of the concerns you may have about your eye area: puffiness, dryness, dark circles. It feels soo hydrating and refreshing when you apply it to the skin; and I have to say the packaging allows you to not waste a SINGLE drop. So you definitely get your money’s worth!!

2. Dior DreamSkin

This is a product of its own kind. NO other brand makes a product like this and I have to say this product changed my skin completely. This product will literally give you the skin of your dreams!! You really cannot go wrong with this product. I have to say though I didn’t think that this product would really work. I thought I noticed a difference in my skin but wasn’t 100% sure. Then one day I walked into work and for a few weeks straight people kept telling me my skin looked amazing. This product is meant to smooth out the skin, improve radiance, reduce redness, and it did EXACTLY that. The only difference in my skincare regimen was this product DREAMSKIN. So I knew it had to be this product. With this product:

D: dark spots are diminished

R: redness is reduced

E: erases fatigue and increases radiance

A: Anti-aging

M: Minimizes the appearances of pores

and of course the last but not least, by far my favorite skincare product!!

1 Shiseido’s BENEFIANCE WrinkleResist24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask

Although the price point on this mask is a little high, I strongly believe this product is WAY WORTH IT. At the beginning of the year I went on a hunt for an eye mask that would help firm and hydrate my eye area. The eyes are where we see the first signs of aging and I was about to hit the age of 30. I needed all the help I could get. I wandered around the cosmetic department and approached every line to find out if any one carried an eye mask. Finally, I had success at the Shiseido counter. The associate, Janny, showed me the eye mask and explained to me that it was going to address all my concerns. Like I said before, the price of this product was a little out of my price range but Janny told me to test it out. You apply this mask for about 15 minutes and then remove the masks. I leave the tray that the masks come in out and give myself a little massage with the leftover serum in the tray. After the 15 minutes were up Janny handed me a mirror and I must say I was AMAZED at the instant results!! Not only did the hydrate my eye area, it was instantly brightened!! I have dark circles and I believe nothing would help brighten them up. But this mask definitely did the trick!! I was sold!! Just when I thought this mask couldn’t get any better, it did!! My younger sister has even dryer eyes then I did and even more puffiness. I explained to her what this mask did for me and she immediately wanted to try it. So we did the same thing. Left the mask on for 15 minutes and then massaged the serum into the orbital bone. Once again AMAZED!! Her eyes looked so good. We never thought we would ever find a product this amazing. We all just lost hope. I use these mask at least once a week when I know I am a going to have a night or day of fun!!
